This position offers the chance to work across a broad range of family matters including divorce, finances, children work, domestic abuse cases, and general family support. The role would suit a candidate with a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in family law.
Key Responsibilities
•Supporting fee-earners on a varied caseload of family matters
•Drafting legal documents, statements, applications, and correspondence
•Preparing court bundles and assisting with case management
•Conducting legal research and helping prepare for hearings
•Liaising with clients, counsel, third parties, and the courts
•Managing files, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout
•Providing empathetic, clear, and professional client support
Key Skills and Experience
•Previous experience in family law is preferred but not essential
•Strong drafting, writing, and organisational abilities
•Confident communication skills, written and verbal
•The ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively
•Proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to a career in family law
•Strong client-care approach, with the ability to support individuals during difficult periods
•Good IT literacy, including case management systems
