Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development & Marketing Manager to join a leading international law firm on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Working closely with partners across high-profile disputes and investigations practices, you'll play a key role in driving business growth, strengthening client relationships and delivering strategic marketing initiatives.

The Role

This is a varied and commercially focused position, combining strategic business development with hands-on execution. You'll support partners in identifying opportunities, winning new business and enhancing market profile across key practice areas.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of pitches, proposals, RFPs and client presentations.
Support partners with business development strategy, client targeting and opportunity identification.
Conduct market, client and competitor research to inform growth initiatives.
Drive profile-raising activities, including directory submissions and industry rankings.
Manage and coordinate client events and marketing campaigns.
Maintain high-quality marketing collateral, lawyer biographies and practice descriptions.
Track market trends and provide actionable business intelligence to stakeholders.

About You

5+ years' business development or marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
Strong pitch and proposal management experience.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project management skills.
Commercially minded with strong research and analytical capabilities.
Highly organised, proactive and confident working with senior stakeholders.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
