Assistant Purchase Ledger

Southwark, London

Up to £28,000 + Hybrid Working

A successful and growing £50m+ turnover construction company is seeking an Assistant Purchase Ledger to join its established finance team based in Southwark. Working alongside an experienced finance team, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function.

Key Responsibilities

Processing and posting supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
Matching, batching and coding invoices.
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice discrepancies.
Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs.
Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments to resolve account queries.
Assisting with month-end procedures and financial reporting.
Maintaining accurate records using Sage accounting software.
Supporting the wider finance team with administrative duties as required.

Requirements

Previous Purchase Ledger experience within a busy finance environment.
Experience using Sage accounting software.
Accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent).
Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Confident using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
