Student Reception Administrator (Punctuality and Behaviour)

Location: East London, Academy School

Hourly Rate: £18.31 per hour Full-Time, Term Time + 10 Days

Immediate Start: Ongoing

Enhanced DBS registered to the update service required

Are you an organised and proactive administrator who thrives in a busy educational environment? Do you enjoy supporting young people and making a positive impact on their school experience?

Working as part of a dedicated pastoral and administrative team, you will provide essential support across student reception, behaviour monitoring, punctuality tracking and enrichment activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Accurately manage student attendance and punctuality records using the academy's management system, ensuring timely data entry and report generation.
Coordinate communications for absences, late arrivals, and manage related detention processes.
Liaise effectively with staff, students, parents, and external agencies to resolve attendance and punctuality concerns.
Administer behaviour support initiatives, including recording Senior Staff on Duty incidents and managing student reward programmes.
Assist with student admissions, maintain up-to-date records, and provide frontline support for student enquiries.
Develop resources aimed at promoting positive behaviour, safety, and rewards.

Punctuality Support

Maintaining accurate punctuality records and updating the academy's management information system.
Monitoring late arrivals and coordinating late detention processes.
Communicating effectively with students, parents, staff and external partners.
Producing attendance and punctuality reports and correspondence.

Behaviour & Student Engagement

Recording Senior Staff on Duty call-out information and producing related reports.
Administering student reward programmes and monitoring engagement.
Creating resources that promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and student safety.
Supporting the organisation of student immunisation programmes.

Enrichment Activities

Coordinating and promoting extracurricular clubs and activities.
Monitoring attendance and producing participation reports.
Helping increase student engagement beyond the classroom.

Student Reception & Administration

Providing a welcoming and professional student reception service.
Maintaining accurate student records and data.
Supporting admissions and reporting safeguarding or welfare concerns through the appropriate channels.
Providing reception cover and assisting with general administrative duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Experience using school databases such as SIMS and other management information systems
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
