Job description

Ready to take your sales administration experience to the next level? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful and growing business as a Sales Administrator, supporting a busy commercial operation from its Slough office.

This is far more than a traditional administration role. You'll be at the heart of the order journey, taking ownership from initial order through to fulfilment, shipment and invoicing, while working closely with customers, suppliers, sales, logistics and finance.

If you're commercially minded, highly organised and enjoy being the person who keeps everything moving, this could be a great next step.

The Role You'll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed smoothly, accurately and on time. You'll work across multiple teams and stakeholders, keeping customers informed and making sure every detail is taken care of.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing customer orders end-to-end, from receipt through to fulfilment, shipment and invoicing.
Acting as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates on order status, deliveries and any potential issues.
Working closely with Sales, Logistics, Finance, suppliers and freight partners to keep orders moving.
Processing invoices, tracking payments, allocating costs and supporting accurate margin management.
Monitoring credit limits and agreed customer terms to ensure orders remain compliant.
Investigating and resolving order or delivery queries quickly and professionally.
Supporting the wider Sales Administration team with projects and ad hoc requirements.

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who knows their way around the sales order process and enjoys working in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience in end-to-end sales order administration - this is essential.
Excellent organisation skills and a strong eye for detail.
The ability to juggle multiple orders, priorities and deadlines without losing track.
Confident customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Intermediate Excel skills or above.
A good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Experience using ERP systems.
Experience within logistics, freight forwarding or international trade would be a real advantage.

What's In It For You?

Great Salary
Hybrid working - 3 days in the Slough office, 2 days from home.
6-month fixed-term contract with a view to a permanent role.
A varied role combining sales, customer service, logistics and finance.
The opportunity to gain valuable experience within an established and professional commercial environment.
A role where you'll have genuine ownership and visibility across the customer order journey.

Ready for your next move? If you're an experienced Sales Administrator who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and keeping customers and internal teams on track, we'd love to hear from you.
